James Weed is a 2nd degree black belt under Walter Cascão. He is a multiple time IBJJF Open Champion and a Black Belt Pan-American medalist, but despite those, or any of his other tournament achievements, what gives James the most pride is watching his friends/students achieve their goals, both on and off the mats!
Nearly a decade ago, James and his wife moved from Las Vegas to Spokane, and in that short time he has not only helped put Spokane on the BJJ map by building from scratch a team of World and Pan-American champions at every belt color, but also has the honor of being the head BJJ Coach of Spokane’s favorite fighter, Michael Chiesa, as he climbs the ranks in the UFC welterweight division.
Whether you are a competitor, or not, if you would like to see how BJJ can change your life, then be sure to reach out to James at Newborn Cascao Jiu Jitsu, so we can get you started today.
